THE RACE.
After the briefing, the teams devise a race strategy, allocating member roles, driver changes and pit stops for fuel, using their funds wisely to budget for damage repairs to their cars, performance upgrades, race fines and bribes to race officials.

During the race, driver changes occur every three minutes, and prize money is awarded according to each teams’ position after every ten minutes. Teams attempt to be competitive throughout in order to increase their team funds. Periods of blindfold driving add an extra dimension and highlights the need for communication and co-operation within the team .

In the early stages of the race, all the cars are set to run at a race speed suitable for novice drivers. As the teams become develop their skills behind the wheel they can buy ‘boost’ to increase their cars’ performance. As the race progresses, teams buy tactics that help them improve their performance, and the team members are occupied with other tasks to increase their teams funds such as model making and quizzes.

The laps covered by each team are scored by computer, while a Pit Technician interacts with the teams to keep their cars running. The Race Director presides over the on-track action, providing commentry to keep the teams informed of their progress while encouraging them to use their creativity and initiative and a Race Administrator deals with the other activities that the teams have to complete.
After sixty frantic minutes, the race finishes. Bonuses are awarded to the teams for their position at the end, and each teams’ final bank balance is then calculated. Trophies are presented to the teams finishing the race in 1st, 2nd & 3rd, as well as the team that has accumulated the most money throughout the event.
